Donna Kao. Monterey Park, California and Vocational Qualifications

“Permanence, perseverance and persistence in spite of all obstacles, discouragements, and impossibilities: It is this, that in all things distinguishes the strong soul from the weak,” is a quotation that could have been written with Donna Ching Fang Kao in mind. A woman who is unafraid of confronting challenges head on, a person who regards adversity as a means by which to gain fresh experiences, and a dedicated philanthropist unafraid to stand up for those weaker than herself, Donna Kao is a person to be studied as much as admired.

She was born in Taiwan to a physician father and a mother who worked as a nurse. Unsuprisingly, perhaps, Donna Kao followed in the parental footsteps, being awarded a Nursing Education Scholarship enabling her to study at the prestigious University of Public Health Nursing in Taipei, where she gained her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. Her career seemed to have been mapped out for her, but, following a meeting with two prominent Taiwanese real estate developers who were actively involved in projects  building hospitals, clinics, physical therapy centers, and other complementary medical facilities, prompted Ms. Kao to obtain a real estate licence of her own and it is at this stage of her career that people first began referring to her as Donna Ching Fang Kao, Monterey Park, California, real estate guru.

Her next big step saw her emigrating to the United States. She received her Real Estate License from the State of California and, recalling her experiences as a newly-emigrated Taiwanese woman, establish a number of healthcare services for the local Asian community. But the community needed more than just healthcare facilities. For Donna Kao, helping people get vocational qualifications in California became a matter of urgency. Naturally, she had personal experience of negotiating the labyrinthine workings of the U.S. Immigration Bureau, and drew on her experiences by establishing an Asian marketing and consulting office for the Monterey Park Hospital, where she helped clients looking to relocate to the United States.

Throughout her extraordinary career path, Donna Kao has maintained her ambition to build and improve on the relationships between China, Taiwan, and the United States. As a healthcare professional, Ms. Kao has a deeply rooted desire to help the people around her and the people within her community. By tackling both the domestic health-related challenges of the Asian community, as well as the bureaucratic challenges facing those that have just started their process of integration, Donna Kao is a respected businesswoman in her own right, and by providing such a role model hopes to build a stronger Asian community in the United States with the resources needed to thrive.

Donna Ching Fang Kao, Presentation On Slideshare

'The Success of Donna Ching Fang Kao,' (Presentation on Slideshare) is a testament to an individual who spent a considerable portion of her life selflessly helping those less fortunate than herself. It is deeply refreshing to read of a figure – successful and highly-respected in her chosen fields – who genuinely believes in the positive effect of giving to others in an attempt to preserve human dignity. Donna Ching Fang Kao is one such person and her life story is well worth repeating.

Born and raised in Taiwan, with a physician as a father, and a registered nurse as a mother, it comes as no great surprise that she also made the decision to join the healthcare industry. She received a Nursing Education Scholarship that enabled her to enrol at the prestigious University of Public Health and Nursing in Taipei, where she was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. At this point in her career, it seemed she was well on the way to fulfilling a long and useful life in the service of public health. However, for certain types of driven individuals, things never appear to go as first imagined. She was fortunate enough to meet with two influential figures in the Taiwanese real estate community, who were engaged in building several hospitals, clinics, physical therapy centers – alongside a raft of complementary medical facilities – and their commitment to raising the standards of healthcare led Donna Kao to obtain a Real Estate Licence of her own in Taiwan and then, after emigrating to the U.S., a Licence from the State of California.

While practicing her trade in southern California, Donna Kao has managed to create time enough to found a free clinic for the Chinese and Vietnamese communities, as well as creating an Asian marketing and consulting office for the Monterey Park Hospital. The success of both these projects encouraged her to obtain a Spa Hospitality Management Certificate, which enabled her to establish the Beverley Hills Anti-Aging Group Clinic. Due to her multi-faceted experience in real estate development, healthcare and business, Donna Kao travels frequently between Vietnam,Taiwan, China and the United States attempting to realize her goal of fostering enhanced international relations between China and the U.S. Indeed, for Donna Kao, helping the Vietnamese and American cultures connect is an issue of paramount importance.

“The smallest act of kindness is worth more than the grandest intention,” is a phrase well worth considering in full. We are so constantly inundated with reports of self-serving public figures fulsomely declaring their philanthropic credentials while engaged in activities which, more often than not, are injurious to the weaker elements of society that the mention of a selfless act is greeted with cynicism – if not hostility. It is an accusation that would be impossible to level at Donna Ching Fang Kao.

Donna Kao and the Importance of Adaptability in Business

Any business owner who strives for longevity in a career knows that the ability to adapt to change is paramount to success. In the 21st century more than ever employees and entrepreneurs in any industry needs to maintain a strong awareness of market fluctuations and changes to business practices and efficiency. While in the past finding a career and sticking with the same company was revered, workers and businesses alike are increasingly aware that moving with trends and constantly proving a willingness to adapt is now crucial to remaining relevant and profitable. Stubbornness and reverence for old fashioned practices will no longer prove beneficial.

A business woman who is adept to remaining flexible in her career is Californian resident Donna Kao - a history of success on Pinterest seen here. Donna Kao has found success in real estate, healthcare, and beauty. As an anti-aging consultant, she is currently owner of successful ‘Beverly Hills Anti-Aging Group Clinic’ in California, after training in the United States for her SPA Hospitality Management Certificate. Her background however is in real estate, in Taiwan. Donna Kao was a property advisor for several lucrative firms in Taiwan, who invested mainly in healthcare developments. The medical industry was one which Donna Kao has always maintained a strong interest in, as both of her parents are medical professionals. She herself also undertook medical training in Taiwan in order to further broaden career opportunities.

It is as a result of this diverse background that she has been able to flourish in the United States. Although she is kept busy in the day to day running of her beauty practice, she is also still involved in property. As an advisor for Qiao Garden Group, a commercial real estate development company, she has been able to aid in the development of a range of properties in the United States and in China. She also provides consultancy to any Taiwanese expatriates who seek advice when relocating to California, and can offer her own experiences as well as a professional opinion on procedures and best practices.

For Donna Kao enough is never enough, and her ability to adapt across cultures and across sectors is a truly worthy pursuit, and one which has given her a strong foundation for career success and longevity. From each experience she has learned to build up success in order to provide unique knowledge of both healthcare and real estate, in both American and Chinese cultures.

Donna Ching Fang Kao - Fostering Community for Recent Immigrants

If you ask Donna Ching Fang Kao what the most important aspect of a professional career is, she is definitely not going to say money. Ms. Kao is an established professional who has built a career on the needs and challenges facing her local community. Rather than selfishly pursuing a career that is self-serving, Ms. Kao has used the personal challenges in her life to motivate her career path in order to help the people around her. As the daughter of a medical physician and registered nurse, Ms. Kao initially started her career in the healthcare industry. After receiving a Nursing Education Scholarship, she decided to pursue her Bachelor’s of Science at the University of Public Health Nursing School in Taipei, Taiwan.

While her foundational medical expertise is an important aspect of her career, another title was important to Donna Kao –a respectedbusinesswoman. After forming relationships with two major real estate developers in Taiwan who were building hospitals, clinics, physical therapy centers, and other medical facilities, Ms. Kao realized that real estate could be a means of bringing healthcare to more people than just her patients. After moving to the United States, she obtained her real estate license from the State of California. Now, armed with a medical degree and a real estate license, Ms. Kao established a free clinic for the Chinese community in Southern California.

She also received a Spa Hospitality Management Certificate and used this credential to open the Beverly Hills Anti-Aging Group clinic. Within her local community of Asian immigrants, she wanted to bring accessible healthcare to a percent of the population that otherwise not receive it. For the last two years, Donna Kao has been working as the Professional Elderly Care Consultant for the Qiao Garden Group, formerly the Watanabe Group. The Qiao Garden Group, established in 1989, engages in commercial real estate investment and development. This includes real estate in the chain vacation health industry, chain office industry, high-end dining industry, and the cultural media industry.

For Donna Kao – diversity and real estate go hand in hand. Her personal experiences as an immigrant give her an intimate understanding of the challenges that face people trying to work and live in the United States. Understanding these bureaucratic challenges led Ms. Kao to establish an Asian specific marketing and consulting office for the Monterey Park Hospital. This service helps immigrants deal with the bureaucratic challenges of immigrating to the United States. Her ultimate goal is to improve the quality of life for immigrants in the United States, as well as improving the relations between the United States and China.

Donna Kao - Quality is Essential

In the world of real estate, quality is essential. The product or property that you are marketing has to be beyond dispute and this is why the best real estate agents never agree to work with a property that is anything less than one hundred percent. Donna Kao has worked in the real estate industry for more than twenty years now and the lesson that she has to communicate with young people just started out is always make sure that quality is one of your primary concerns. This is how beginners become successful: they stand out amongst other people in the same market by dint of the quality of the properties they are offering. They also make the effort to tailor the property to the preferences and tastes of every individual client, adding a personalized touch to the business of realty that really gets other people on board. This is something that Donna Kao has always maintained when working with people in real estate: one of the most important things that you can do is to really sit down with your client and to listen very carefully to just what they are looking for. Being a successful realtor is about helping people to realize their dreams and finding them a property in which they can really picture their future developing: clients don’t want to settle for anything less than the best and so neither should their agent. Trying to match people with ill-suited properties always culminates in disaster and this means that your approval ratings will go down. So, in Donna Kao’s book, it’s always necessary to try your best to find the ideal property which perfectly matches the expectations of your clients, and to keep a rigorous concern for quality at the forefront of your mind. Realty is about psychology and it is also about the realization of individual dreams: properties contain human pasts and human futures and it is necessary to think about them in these terms. A little compassion and imaginative empathy go a long way in the business and these qualities lie behind the astounding success of Donna Kao. She has always striven to match these high standards and it is a testament to her innate abilities and hard work that so many clients have been extremely satisfied with their experience of her as a realtor. Quality is paramount.

Donna Kao - Chase Your Dreams

A message that Donna Kao hopes to pass on to the next generation is that of always chasing your dreams and never being content with the present state of things if this is not something that you want. With a little hard work and dedication, even the most impossible dreams can be realized and made into a reality. Have you always wanted to move country? Learn another language? Swap careers? Well, then: just do it! Donna Kao was originally born in Taiwan and this is where she received her education and had many of her formative experiences. She was initially determined to follow in the footsteps of her parents, both well-known medical practitioners, and went to the University of Public Health Education School in Taipei in order to study nursing. Though she was extremely successful and committed to this life, Donna Kao always wanted something more.

The reason why Donna Kao is such an inspirational woman is that on realizing that her discontentment was linked to her past situation, she calmly and bravely decided to change her situation. She realized that although she valued the experience of nursing and had nothing but the highest respect for those individuals in the medical profession, she wanted to do something else with her life, and so Donna Kao decided to pursue a career in realty. Furthermore, she came to the understanding that shed always wanted to travel and to experience a life away from her native Taiwan and so instead of staying in a country where things were comfortable for her and she was surrounded by family and friends, she set off for the United States, alone, and forged a new kind of life for herself. Now, Donna Kao is a successful businesswoman with many achievements to her name, and is a highly respected figure throughout her community. She has never regretted her decisions and is always proud that she had the necessary courage to make her dreams a reality. What the example of Donna Kao can show us is that everybody can realize their dreams if they are willing to try hard enough and to take a few risks. Bravery is what really pays off. Donna Kao knew that she wanted something and she was not afraid to do the things necessary to realize her dream, even though that meant moving away from everything that she knew.

Donna Kao - Why Study is Necessary

For Donna Kao studying has always meant the onset of possibility and opportunity and she has always conceptualized her education in these terms. Without a continual effort to study she would never have gotten to where she is today and its a fact that success is contingent on hard work and the continual effort to apply yourself when young. This is something that Donna Kaos parents taught her from a very early age: she was born into a family of disciplined medical practitioners with extremely academic interests and these values were her values too. Both her parents applied themselves intensely to their work and both worked long hours: her mother as a trained nurse and her father as a highly skilled physician. Donna Kao was full of respect for her parents and what they accomplished: she wanted her own life to be full of the same compassion and rigorous self-discipline.

It was with these examples in mind that she applied herself relentlessly in school, hoping to excel in the academic field. She worked late into the night, researching around the subjects of study, making sure that she was up-to-date with everything that was going on. Donna Kao was extremely dedicated to her schoolwork and her teachers soon noticed this and praised her as a very able student. Her grades were consistently high and this was a source of pride for her parents. Because she flourished in high school, Donna Kao received a place to study Public Nursing at the University of Public Health Nursing School in Taipei, following in her parents footsteps. University required intense study and Donna Kao threw herself into her work, shining amongst her peers as an individual with true potential. It was the secure educational foundations that she laid down for herself in school and university that allowed her to experience career success later on in life, and she has always been thankful towards her parents for making her aware of this fact. Study is an absolutely necessity if you want to have the career of your dreams and this is a message that Donna Kao is committed to sharing with the youth of today. Now a successful realtor living in California, Donna Kao believes that none of her present-day happiness would have been possible without committed study and hard work from Day One.

Donna Kao - Why Real Estate Matters

In America there has always been significant demand for real estate in the form of apartments, houses, condos and luxury or custom built homes. Americans are settling in everywhere and more people each year are seeking their perfect home. In addition to this it seems that the demand for real estate experts is expanding too. The many customers out there looking for a home are people in need, and there are times when it seems like there is simply not the training and education available to those who need to know about real estate the most. At times it is a difficult situation, for example in Chicago where there are pockets of housing that have not been filled at all. Chicago is interesting because it seems like there is both a lack of customers and a lack of experts in the state, which has created the property market drought it is now notorious for hosting.

There are however examples in others states that show how real estate can thrive with the right elements. California is one such state, now with many happy home owners and abundant experts such as Donna Kao who operate every day in Los Angeles and other areas. The cities in California are famed for the attractive lifestyles they can provide and this creates high demand. Great demand of course equals a great number of customers, and when there are a lack of homes or expertise there is the threat of failure in the market. Donna Kao is an individual that has done well to read the market and put her mark on California as a trusted realtor.

Donna Kao was raised in Taipei, Taiwan, and since her childhood there she has succeeded in many visible ways over here in the United States. Her customers have been known to speak highly of her, and she uses her relationship to the community to build her customer base rather than through advertising. A connection to the community is what has given Donna Kao her many happy customers and her specific kind of expertise. Being close to the Asian populations of Californian cities has allowed her to provide tailor-made services to each of her clients and to gain knowledge about what the various needs in real estate actually are. The great track record of Donna Kao shows that Real Estate is still a hugely important area that presents room for expansion on the grounds of knowledge.
